ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people's life in all aspect. The quarantine policy and social distancing also brings new habit as an impact of the new rules applied. For example, people need to be checked by thermo-gun and using hand sanitizer before entering building or office. Also, it is a must for people to obey the maximum 50% of total capacity that can be accommodated in a certain building, and this must be strictly implemented by all firms and business. To make sure that no over-capacity occurred, there need to be some staff to guard the entrance and ensure it. So, we conducted this research which aims to build An Automatic Visitor Counter System using Arduino Uno Mobile Based Microcontroller. The system is expected to be a solution for the company in monitoring the number of visitors entering a building, entertainment venues, shopping malls and so on. This system has been released and can work accurately through the test of 33 employees and lecturers at Amikom Purwokerto University. This system will send data on the number of visitors recorded every 1 hour to smartphone using Bluetooth connection and will reset automatically once an hour. The system is tested using the Naïve Bayes method to measure accuracy. The result of the experiment obtained 75.8% accuracy. © 2023 Author(s).

ABSTRACT

This article discusses how students can use Platform Design Canvas to help them construct a prototype for a Project-based Learning assignment. Project-based learning was carried out by students with an interdisciplinary background. The Platform Design Canvas is a new approach to software development that aims to improve alignment between design thinking and business goals. The Platform Design Canvas was introduced as an acceleration tool for rapid prototyping, based on the Business Model Canvas, to assure the efficiency and productivity of platform ecosystems. As a result, more than 65 percent of students think that Platform Design Canvas adaptation is suitable for examining features and defining business goals for prototyping. According to the Log Metric Analysis, Students accomplished a designated task in less than 5 minutes with minimal repetition. This shows that the proposed adaption is uncomplicated to use and that the Platform Design Canvas is effective for rapid prototyping.
